I am pleased to welcome you to Homecoming & Family Weekend at the University of the Incarnate Word. During the weekend you will discover that our beautiful campus, located at the headwaters of the San Antonio River, is a tranquil refuge that is equally conducive to meeting new friends or reminiscing with former classmates.

You will have an opportunity to participate in many different activities during this special weekend. Some include socializing with alumni, parents and faculty at receptions and dinners; sitting in on a variety of classes around campus; and attending the family cookout and scrimmage at the Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium, the home of our new football team. You can also be part of Light The Way, the popular ceremony in which we light the campus with a million Christmas lights that has become a holiday tradition for families in San Antonio.

Throughout your stay, you will see that Incarnate Word is an exceptional community made up of individuals from more than 60 countries pursuing a values-based college education. Our mission of human dignity and mutual respect calls for us to support one another while fostering excellence within a context of faith.
